The HexaSexual project started in 2014 as a hexagonal zine about gender and sexual relationships. I invented six new sexes, with pronouns and “typical” gender characteristics, none of which were defined in relation to masculinity and femininity. I wrote a manifesto (below) and spoke at multiple events to demand these freedoms from the gender binary.

This spiralled into a story about humans evolving into six new sexes and genders after the Uterine Apocalypse. Their reproduction involved root vegetables as well as any combination of the genitalia shown below. For each gender, I created jewellery and a social media profile.
